Evan Haiman has more than 350 credits across thirty years of television — Major League Baseball, HBO, The Comedy Channel, Warner Bros., AXS TV, the Grand Ole Opry. Sports, comedy and, mostly, music. Thirty years of pointing cameras at people who are very good at something.
He began at Major League Baseball Productions, then moved to HBO, The Comedy Channel and Warner Bros. Through the late nineties he was executive in charge of production on Sessions at West 54th, Tori Amos: Live from NY and Michael Crawford in Concert, edited OneWorld Music Beat, and took his first directing credit in 1997.
The 2000s were concert films. He produced and shot Willie Nelson & Wynton Marsalis Play the Music of Ray Charles, and produced Brian Wilson's MusiCares Person of the Year, Clint Black's Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic, Son Volt at Okemah, the Isley Brothers, Crash Test Dummies and Papa Roach.
Then seven years at AXS TV as Vice President of Production, Development and Programming, where he put more than two hundred series, specials, concerts and festivals on air. Robert Plant at David Lynch's Festival of Disruption. Peter Frampton unplugged. Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. Def Leppard in Detroit, Nickelback at Red Rocks, Steve Winwood at the Mountain Winery, Warren Haynes conducting Jerry Garcia through a symphony orchestra. Farm Aid and Jazzfest, year after year. Gotham Comedy Live ran 76 episodes on his watch. He created Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar, which ran four seasons and 44 episodes, and directed and wrote a handful of them himself.
In 2019 the Grand Ole Opry and Gray Television hired him as Senior Vice President of Content to launch Circle. It reached more than eighty million homes inside a year, with Talking in Circles with Clint Black running 62 episodes and Landmarks: The Stages of Country Music another 33.
He founded Baker Street Productions to direct his own work. Ringside in the Mountains, his first feature as director, won Best Documentary Short at the Long Island International Film Expo and played the Miami, Boca and Nyack festivals. Twenty Years On premiered in Cleveland in June 2026. Three more are shooting.
He spends as much time as he can in the Catskills — hiking, cooking, playing records. The first film came out of driving past the ruins of the hotels.

Content lead for the Grand Ole Opry / Gray Television country music channel from launch; it passed eighty million homes inside a year. Talking in Circles with Clint Black ran 62 episodes, Landmarks: The Stages of Country Music 33, Big Kenny's Crank It Up Garage 24, Inside the Base nine. Also History of Country, Circle Presents: Country Sessions, Farm Aid in 2022 and 2023, the 14th ACM Honors, and a run of veterans and first-responder specials — America Salutes You, Never Forget, Tunnel to Towers' Homes for the Holidays, Operation Appreciation.

More than two hundred series, specials, concerts and festivals. He created Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar — four seasons, 44 episodes, several of which he directed and wrote — and ran Gotham Comedy Live across 76. On the music side: Robert Plant at David Lynch's Festival of Disruption, Peter Frampton unplugged, Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band, Def Leppard in Detroit, Nickelback at Red Rocks, Steve Winwood at the Mountain Winery, REO Speedwagon, Blues Traveler, Garbage, Jackson Browne with Sara Watkins, Dennis DeYoung playing the music of Styx — twenty years before he'd make a film about Styx — and Warren Haynes conducting Jerry Garcia through a symphony orchestra. Farm Aid and Jazzfest year after year. Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Carolina Rebellion, the Loudwire Awards, Breaking Band, Mixtape, and Lewis Black's A Night to Let Freedom Laugh.
